Cyber Security Chief exploring congressional run
Kayla Cohen, who heads the cyber security task force for GCIS (Griffith Colson Intelligence Service) said she is seeking advice for a possible 2014 run against Rep. Maxine Waters (D-35TH District).
Cohen said she’ll make a decision later this year and added that she would run on a platform of stronger cyber and homeland security measures for the country.
Cohen currently serves as Deputy Director of Cyber Security for GCIS and has served as director of Machaseh Security Service. She said she believes she can bring a strong pro-Israel debate to the campaign. She is a social moderate and has openly support LGBT issues. She was the architect of her firm’s C.A.T.S. unit, which is the Cyber Assault Tactical Service. She spearheaded the first Cyber and Digital Narcotics unit of any private security firm in history.
Cohen said she would have to weigh the options before making an official decision.
“I love what I do”, she said in an email statement, “And I would like to do more for national security in our country. But, I really like my work and working for the company I work for. So, we’ll just have to see what happens. I’ll make a decision this summer”.
